Our humble farm, Donlee Acres, is where we raise llamas, sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, geese, rabbits and a pig or 2, not to mention the horse, burros, and dogs. I am a fibre fanatic so that is my area of greatest concentration. I have a passion for Angora Rabbits, especially the Satin ones. I spin their coats into fine yarn, sell their wool to other spinners and mix their fibre with fine wools like Cormo, Corridale, Merino and Rambouillet. I also dabble a bit with dyeing these fibres. Besides our fibre friends we also raise most of our meat and vegetables, trying to be a self-sufficient as possible in these tough times. |
